ACTION ALERT!              ACTION ALERT!            ACTION ALERT!            ACTION ALERT!

SB 972, the 2019 Connecticut adoptee rights bill passed out of the State Senate last week and now needs to be heard in the State House of Representatives. We want our Speaker of the House to know just how many birth mothers support this bill. We have one more ask from you.

If you are a birth mother living anywhere in the world and you support our clean adoptee rights bill SB 972, please help us make history this week by urging our Speaker of the House, Joe Aresimowicz to bring the bill forward for a vote.

  • Quick phone call: Please call! You will likely get the House Democrats voicemail. Go ahead and leave a brief message with your name, state that you are a birth mother, you support SB 972 and you hope it will be brought forward for a vote by the end of the session.

  • Short Email: Write a brief note – even just one line! – telling Rep. Aresimowicz you are a birth mother and you support SB 972 and you hope it will be brought forward for a vote by the end of the session. Use a subject line such as “Birthmother For SB 972.”

Rep. Joe Aresimowicz
